Learn to walk away from anything that is causing harm.
If you can, try to trust your intuition and walk away even sooner- from anything that is not a Hell Yes before it affects your mood- that is harmful too.
Even with family. You deserve to have peace. You deserve to be in control. And you can be. Walk away - give yourself time and space to think. Re-address things when you're ready - and if you choose to.
If you reach your breaking point, they learn that you'll let them keep working away at the edges of your boundaries - and that they can get through. So it's best to walk away as soon as something doesn't feel right.
