At first, taking action towards your own needs can feel like being needy.
Having needs does not equal being needy. Being needy is expecting others to take oer and take care of you. Taking action to take care of your own needs means first understanding the underlying need that might be disguised as something else. Then figtue out which actions YOU can take to fulfill those needs. Be proactive so the need doesn't become so great that you are hungry for it and become desperate.
If you always seek others to fill your needs - ask yourself why you do this. Is there a deeper need for care and attention, that is not being fulfilled?
