It's one thing to practice connecting in the ways we have learned from those around us, from passive influences and trying to understand how to connect the way we wish to. If it's working for you - great! But if not, maybe it's time to start going deeper into unserstanding connections. Why and How do you connect the way you currently do? Would you like to shift anything to get better results?
Resource:
The Laws of Connection by David Robson.
My review: This book provided me so many missing insights that I needed in order to move forward with my goals of community and connection. I highly recommend this book, but I would like to note that this book had me leaning towards labelling and judging - which I don't believe is helpful. The insights were definitely helpful, but then after that - taking the insights for each personality type and redefining them as reactions that people can have and situations to be aware of instead of personality traits to judge was important for me. I realized that labelling would cause me to want to cling or to walk away because I tend to be all or none, and I struggle to find that balance.
