Trust Through Intuition

In trusting your intuition, you can learn to trust myself, and expand that trust outwards to others. The key is to trust it enough to also take action when it's called for.
Even little things, like acting on the inspiration to go out to the beach, or hunker down and get the job finished or just to pick up the item on the floor. These thoughts are your mind telling you what it wants. Don't dismiss them. Those little thoughts can help guide us to what is important to us before it grows into a problem.
Your mind is really very good at noticing potential threats - it's how we've survived and thrived as a species! Today's society has started to teach us that we don't need to be so hyper aware, so we squash down these thoughts and try to ignore them - for anxiety, we are often told to ignore them and recognize that there is no "real" danger.
That tactic can be helpful for when we are over-exaggerating our emotions around a threat. But I have found that the better solution is to recognize that your body has reacted to a threat. Real or percieved - it's important to listen to your body. It needs to be your friend- you're kinda stuck with it!
So, protect yourself from burnout by making a plan to go to the beach when you feel that nudge. Protect yourself from missing a deadline by getting the job done, and from stubbing your toe on that item on the floor. Your inner mind and your body will both be thankful to not have to scream at you trying to get your attention.
