Do you feel like nothing will ever change? Do you find yourself pushing yourself to be better? or to do more? Small intentional shifts in how we view the world are possible. And can be far more meaningful than anything else we ever do.

Take a look at where your beliefs come from. Many beliefs do not come from ourselves. They come from outside influences. Family, friends etc. And if you've been surrounded by the same people or groups for a long time, they'll shape your thinking.

Really look at if these beliefs are set in stone. Sometimes they are - but why not try to shift them? The worst that can happen is that you'll know for sure that you've tried your best to look at all sides and worked towards finding a better way.

My story:

It was amazing to learn that life doesn't have to be hard! I grew up thinking that everything was hard - and things were only important or that I could only be proud of them based on how much effort and struggle I had put into them.

In the end, that hurt me even more. Take my exercising for example. Trying to "push through" made it so I over-exerted the bigger muscles, and lost the mind-body connection with the little stabelizer muscles. Those tiny, easy movements were more beneficial to me than working harder. I realized that this also relates to the world around me. It can be SO helpful to the world to just take care of yourself and practice allowing yourself to enjoy the little things. Because happiness is contagious!

It took some take time and dedication to re-wire the need to feel like I only had value if I accomplished a lot, but doing the bare minimum and allowing myself to trust that I'm worthy without the struggle has allowed me to let go of the guilt and feel a lot more at peace with myself and be happier each day.
