Everyone comes with drama and baggage. There's no escaping it. What is your capacity for other people's drama? This directly affects the degree which you are able to maintain a relationship. This can ebb and flow and fluctuate, but generally, some people really enjoy the thrill in the social game of establishing their"pecking order" and success can leave people realizing that it's lonely at the top. Others, walk away and disengage from the drama deciding that peace is more worthwhile than playing the game. Are you at one of these opposite ends? Is life full of action and drama and excitement, but leaving you feeling lonely? or too tired and overwhelmed to engage at all- so you're disengaging? The key is to understand where you're at, so you can navigate within your ability to either expand your capacity, or to be really discerning on who you spend your time with. How can you make more space in your life to be able to be there for someone else when you want to? Who is deserving of your time and energy? Who gives you energy and helps you to have even more capacity? Is it important for you to have an established "spot" in society? If so, is that interfering with your ability to connect? These are the questions for today to help you understand where you're at - if you have room in your life to take on the responsibility of the taking care of another person - and all the problems and drama that come with them.
