Allowing people to change and grow- including yourself. Try to let go if you find yourself too caught up in expectations and details to prove your point. I love details, but it's important to use those details to prove the reality of the situation to yourself - and try not to be too rigid and end up pushing your reality onto someone else.

Recognize that past interactions or hopes for the future for everyone involved do cloud the current situation and makes reality subjective.

You can express your feelings and communicate boundaries - without expecting understanding, changed behaviours or certain outcomes. By working with the information at hand, and allowing things to unfold naturally as new information comes up, it gives the freedom for new understandings and shifts in perspectives that you might not see otherwise.
