It is so helpful to have someone who con mediate- someone who can see things from an outside perspective and give honest feedback.
Especially when we are upset, we can become blind to our own faults, and hyper-fixate on where the blame lies. With us? or with them? A third party can help see the whole picture, and this allows for opportunities for learning and growing - without the need to place blame on one side or the other.
So, Find a friend or colleague, or talk with a counsellor - even an impartial person online who is advocating for "the other side". Ask questions, try to understand the whole picture, and end the back and forth on the thing you've been struggling with the most. Take steps towards learning how to meet in the middle or find a new option.
