Listen and learn to connect

The art of observation and listening is hard! Especially if we are eager to be seen and heard. It's important to try to show respect for others. This includes not trying to jump in and "fix" things. It can seem to be helpful on the surface, but the underlying message is that you either don't trust them to find their own solutions, or won't allow them to have a different opinion than yours.

Today is a day to lisen and let others talk. To learn to be comfortable with the silence if they stop talking. Wait for them to show you the answers. Especially if you're recognizing you're in a holding pattern where they can't seem to understand what you're trying to say to them. That's the indicator that you're not on the same page and maybe it's time to check in to see if they share the values that you're expecting them to. This is ok, but it's important to recognize.
