Deep Clean

When fixing things, the first step is to clean and prepare - getting rid of the junky bits and prepping for restoration. For example, when painting - if you don't first remove or smooth out the old paint - the new paint won't go on very well. You need to sand down the flakes, fill in the cracks - and only then are you able to make the new coat of paint look good. Today is a day of stripping things down and getting ready to freshen up.
